THUNDER/TIMBERWOLVES

When the Minnesota Timberwolves were beating up on the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs, all the analysts and experts kept asking what LeBron, Luka, and the Lakers needed to do to beat the Timberwolves. Many people were yelling at their TV screens that the Timberwolves were the better team.

OKC crushed Minnesota in 5 games to advance to the NBA Finals. The Thunder were the better team. Hats off to the Timberwolves for making it to the Western Conference Finals two years in a row, but the Thunder were much better. They had 19 more wins and looked like a dominant team. Give then credit and wish them luck in the Finals.

NUGGETS

The LA Clippers beat down the Denver Nuggets last night to take a 2-1 lead in their series. The Clippers were better than the Nuggets in almost ever statistical category which showed since they won by 34 points.  Nikola Jokic had a triple double, but only scored 23 points which is below his season average of almost 30 points per game. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon both score in double digits, but the rest of team didn't help too much.  Denver and LA were 2-2 in the 4 games they played against each other this year.

NUGGETS

The Denver Nuggets may be the team that can take out the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nuggets did bring the Thunder to seven games in the Western Conference Semifinals this past post season.  They resigned Bruce Brown, signed Tim Hardaway Jr., Aaron Gordon will be healthy heading into the season, and Nikola Jokic will be a top three MVP player. Losing out on Jonas Valanciunas sucks, but maybe they'll be able to sign Bradley Beal if he becomes available?
