VIKINGS

I felt bad for Carson Wentz on Thursday Night when he got manhandled by a Chargers defense that sacked him 3 times and was in his face hitting him often. He looked to be in pain and if the Vikings had anyone else to turn to besides an undrafted rookie quarterback in Max Brosmer, I think the Vikings would have started that someone else. 

Wentz was working behind a patchwork offensive line that was missing right tackle, Brian O'Neill and lost left tackle, Christian Darrisaw during the game. You wonder why JJ McCarthy got hurt and Wentz is now hurt? The Vikings o-line is hurt and the backups are bad. There's a reason they're backups. Wentz is probably hoping McCarthy is healthy enough to play against the Lions a week from Sunday. Oh by the way, Detroit has a better defense then the Chargers. 

On another note, wide out Justin Jefferson looked visibly frustrated. He's had 8 different quarterbacks throw him the ball in his 6 seasons in Minnesota. He has never won a playoff game. With Minnesota's luck, Jefferson will request a trade. 

I'm betting Jefferson and Kevin O'Connell wished they signed Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, or Aaron Rodgers.

The Denver Nuggets may be the team that can take out the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nuggets did bring the Thunder to seven games in the Western Conference Semifinals this past post season.  They resigned Bruce Brown, signed Tim Hardaway Jr., Aaron Gordon will be healthy heading into the season, and Nikola Jokic will be a top three MVP player. Losing out on Jonas Valanciunas sucks, but maybe they'll be able to sign Bradley Beal if he becomes available?

NUGGETS

The LA Clippers beat down the Denver Nuggets last night to take a 2-1 lead in their series. The Clippers were better than the Nuggets in almost ever statistical category which showed since they won by 34 points.  Nikola Jokic had a triple double, but only scored 23 points which is below his season average of almost 30 points per game. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon both score in double digits, but the rest of team didn't help too much.  Denver and LA were 2-2 in the 4 games they played against each other this year.

BRONCOS

The Denver Broncos and Bo Nix are playing well this season. After beating their division rival, the Las Vegas Raiders last night, they hold an 8-2 record.  Don't get too excited though, they have only beaten one team above 500 (Eagles). Their two losses are against the Chargers and the Colts.  Don't get me wrong, this team is playing well, has a good defense, and a good young quarterback, but lets see how they do against teams with winning records.  Their nect game is against the Kansas City Chiefs.
