PHILIP RIVERS

The Indianapolis Colts were playing well with new quarterback, Daniel Jones. They looked like the team to beat in the AFC before Jones tore his Achilles on Sunday. Rookie sixth round pick, Riley Leonard played well, but he injured his knee. Anthony Richardson is still on injured reserve. So the Colts called 44 year old grandpa, Philip Rivers and signed him to their practice squad. 

If Rivers starts a game this season he will be the fifth quarterback to start an NFL game at least 44 years old. The other four were Tom Brady, Vinny Testaverde, Steve DeBerg, and Warren Moon. 

Philip Rivers is older than 13 current NFL head coaches and he is older than his offensive coordinator.

The Denver Nuggets may be the team that can take out the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nuggets did bring the Thunder to seven games in the Western Conference Semifinals this past post season.  They resigned Bruce Brown, signed Tim Hardaway Jr., Aaron Gordon will be healthy heading into the season, and Nikola Jokic will be a top three MVP player. Losing out on Jonas Valanciunas sucks, but maybe they'll be able to sign Bradley Beal if he becomes available?

NUGGETS

The LA Clippers beat down the Denver Nuggets last night to take a 2-1 lead in their series. The Clippers were better than the Nuggets in almost ever statistical category which showed since they won by 34 points.  Nikola Jokic had a triple double, but only scored 23 points which is below his season average of almost 30 points per game. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon both score in double digits, but the rest of team didn't help too much.  Denver and LA were 2-2 in the 4 games they played against each other this year.

BRONCOS

The Denver Broncos and Bo Nix are playing well this season. After beating their division rival, the Las Vegas Raiders last night, they hold an 8-2 record.  Don't get too excited though, they have only beaten one team above 500 (Eagles). Their two losses are against the Chargers and the Colts.  Don't get me wrong, this team is playing well, has a good defense, and a good young quarterback, but lets see how they do against teams with winning records.  Their nect game is against the Kansas City Chiefs.
